Short answer: We would LOVE TO, but we can't.
Long answer: We cannot give you an estimated cost on ANY insurance because every single line of insurance ranging from auto and home insurance to Professional Liability and a Bond are ALL RATED ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT FACTORS, depending on the type of coverage you are purchasing.
For example, auto insurance is rated on:
Truly, we would love to give you an idea of how much it's going to cost but it's just not possible until we enter all the rating factors for the particular type of insurance you are requesting.
A lot of this answer depends on the type of business you have. We tell people that it is typically 5-7 business day. However, sometimes we get it same day! That is rare but it has happened.
If you are requesting a quote for a complex package like an Assisted Living Home or a Facility that offers several types of services, it will DEFINITLY take at least a couple of weeks to properly shop and quote your coverage.
No, it is not. Worker's Compensation is a separate policy.
Commercial Auto policies are NAMED DRIVER POLICIES. This means that unless someone is specifically listed as a driver on the insurance policy, THEY ARE NOT COVERED. Please do not ever make assumptions, add any new drivers you have and do not assume they are covered until it is confirmed by your agent.
Yes! We work with a third party premium finance company that facilitates the premium payment option.
NO!!!! Never assume anything is covered, EVER! Whether you are referring to a personal policy or a business policy, never assume. There will be some instances where certain coverage is automatically extended to another location but that is rare. Always ask your agent BEFORE you acquire the new location, vehicle, empty piece of land, etc.
It is very common for General Liability and Worker's Compensation policies to be audited. Many General Liability policies are rated on Revenue, Payroll, or Subcontractor costs. Worker's Compensation policies are rated on annual payroll and job duties. In either policy situation, the purpose of the insurance audit is to determine how much risk the insurance company ACTUALLY insured over the last year. For example, if you projected your annual revenue at $100,000 and after it was all said and done, your business actually produced $250,000 in annual revenue, then that means the insurance was at a higher risk than projected and you will owe additional premium for the risk they actually insured and protected. It is your responsibility to notify your agent of changes in your business exposure which would include significant annual payroll increases and decreases, revenue, sub-contractor costs, etc. When you receive your renewal quote for your policy, be sure that you understand what information your policy is rated on so that you can keep your policy up to date and not face an unexpected and expensive additional premium post-audit.
